Jennifer Love Hewitt: Christmas Party Crooner

‘Tis the season for Holiday parties, that’s for sure! This past weekend, newly-pregnant Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiancé Ross McCall were out and about, on their way to a pre-Christmas bash.

The “Party of Five” babe and her Scottish beau were spotted on their way to trendy Morton’s Steak House in Burbank, California to join friends and family for a small gathering.
She wore a beautifully-low-cut red/black party dress, with a prom-style up ‘do and some peep-toe heels, while her soon-to-be-hubby donned a grey tie-less suit with a wool topcoat and a pair of sneakers.

Reportedly, the 28-year-old singer/actress enjoyed a delicious hamburger before serenading the guests, including her mother.

Ashley Tisdale Reveals Her New Look in New York City

Ashley Tisdale made her first public appearance Friday night since undergoing a rhinoplasty procedure on Nov. 30.

The High School Musical star performed at the Z100 Jingle Ball concert to benefit Autism Speaks at New York's Madison Square Garden Friday, despite still having some pain and slight swelling from the surgery.

Tisdale reluctantly went under the knife to correct a severely deviated septum and have her twice fractured nasal bones (once from a car accident and once from getting hit in the face while dancing) realigned.

"I've known for years that I've had a deviated septum," Tisdale told PEOPLE. It wasn't until after the 22-year-old toured with High School Musical in South America last spring that she realized the magnitude of the problem. After performing her solo set, Tisdale exited the stage in a panic.

"I was so out of breath, I started hyperventilating," Tisdale says. "They were thinking it was a heart attack. The [tour] doctor got me an oxygen tank and I sat outside the stage and breathed in oxygen until I could catch my breath."

Tisdale enlisted the services of renowned Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Raj Kanodia, whose celebrity clientele includes Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz and Ashlee Simpson. Kanodia determined that Tisdale's septum was 80 percent deviated.

"If I laid down on my right side it was like somebody closed up the right side of my nose," says Tisdale.

Kanodia tells PEOPLE he's "ecstatic with the results. "Functionally her nose is better and cosmetically it's better because I got rid of the effects of the [injuries]."

Now that she's on the mend, Tisdale says she "never wants to have plastic surgery again." Why so adamant? "I don't believe in plastic surgery. I really think natural is more beautiful. This was not about changing me. I am comfortable with myself," she says.

Jenna Fischer Sends 'Elaborate, Four-Step' Christmas Cards

There is no such thing as an ordinary Christmas card at Jenna Fischer's house.

"I just sent out my elaborate, four-step Christmas card," Fischer, 33, told PEOPLE at Thursday's Hollywood premiere of her movie, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. "I did it again this year."

So how elaborate?

"There is the card," she says, "which I bought at Target, and a special insert-card, which has a little personal message to everybody. It has a special ribbon that I have to tie on. Then, there's the return address label that's Christmas-y and the Christmas stamp."

Fischer adds, "I have to write in green and red ink. It's crazy town – crazy town. Martha Stewart would be proud."

Fischer, who stars on The Office which has been halted due to the writers' strike, has had a busy 2007, winning a SAG Award, recovering from a back injury and starring in three movies.

"Gosh, it's been a really exciting year," Fischer says. "I'm looking forward to next year, and hopefully getting back to work."

Keira Knightley Ready to Party at Golden Globes

Keira Knightley is ready to party – with her cast and crew of Atonement, which topped the list of Golden Globe nominees on Thursday, with seven nods, including one for herself and another for her leading man, James McAvoy, as well as for the WWII drama itself, as best picture.

"It's just so exciting that we've got nominated in so many categories," the British actress, 22, tells the Associated Press. "There's such a big group of us that can get to go together. It will be a real celebration for the film. It will be a wonderful night."
Atonement's supporting actress nominee Saoirse Ronan is all of 13
years old. The Dublin-born teen, currently in Pennsylvania to shoot her new movie The Lovely Bones, tells PEOPLE: "I started doing films two years ago [but] I never expected anything like this would happen. It's really lovely."

Staying Grounded
Regarding any career advice Knightley might have given her, Ronan says, "When we were in Venice [for the film festival], she let my dad know that there was going to be a lot of events and that I should keep myself grounded, and I think that's the best advice that anyone in Keira's position can give you."
As for the reaction from her school pals, Ronan says, "You really find out who your friends are, because they stick by you and they don't act all strange. But I have really supportive friends and no matter how long I've been gone, they treat me like I've been there all along."

Scottish actor McAvoy, 28, for whom Atonement provides a star-making role, says in a statement, "It's a huge thrill to see [the film] embraced by the" Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Kudos to Viggo
Viggo Mortensen was also nominated for his dramatic leading role, in Eastern Promises. Congratulating his leading man, the film's director, David Cronenberg, said, "For me, there was only one actor who could powerfully convey the lead character Nikolai's many subtleties." The nomination for the 49-year-old actor is, according to Cronenberg, "perfect and exciting."

Not that all is merry and bright in Hollywood. With the strike by the Writers' Guild of America now more than a month old, and with no solution yet in sight, Grey's Anatomy nominee Katherine Heigl, 29, tells Entertainment Tonight, "I'm not crossing the picket line – not unless I'm contractually obliged to do so – which [with] the Golden Globes I'm not."

The Globes are due to be broadcast over NBC on Jan. 13.

Blogs were recently abuzz with word that, during a recent private party, Banks, 34, said: “[Britney] should just go ahead and kill herself after the album and go out like Marilyn [Monroe], very grand. She should have done it after the last album."
But the America's Next Top Model host issued the following statement Thursday:
"Britney is a friend and we correspond with each other. These alleged statements are completely false."
No word, however, if Banks would approve of Spears playing the Virgin Mary or Spears' downward style spiral.

Doing her best debutante impression, Heidi Montag visited the bank in Pacific Palisades yesterday. And from the looks of her dark sunglasses and black scarf, this girl is in mourning.

It’s official: Heidi has dumped Spencer Pratt. The Hills lovers have announced that they’ve broken off their engagement. And despite speculation that it’s all just a publicity stunt, they maintain it’s for real.
And Pratt is taking the news pretty hard. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, Spencer said, “In my mind I’m not moving on or looking for dates. I don’t know where Heidi is, I know she needs her space, but I don’t want to get back to my bachelor days. Heidi is the most perfect girl on the planet.”

Conrad also confessed that cheesy lines are not the way to her heart. “I want one that comes up and approaches you but in a non-cheesy way.”
